Creating a name for yourself follows. Of course, thousands of monikers are already taken, so you may want to save some time and allow the system to suggest one that is available. A few seconds after you board the shuttle to Rubi-Ka, you enter the Arrival Hall where an information window automatically pops up. It provides instructions on a number of basic aspects like how to move around and how to converse with the non-player characters, some of which may well grab your attention when you hear their voices as they begin to interact with you. After learning what you can from the various NPCs about Rubi-Ka and the factions, you arrive at another decision point. Four options are open to you - Clan, Neutral, Omni and Jobe.

Joining the Clans means you will be a type of freedom fighter, facing hardships and a tougher life than the Omnis, who, as employees of the powerful Omni-Tek Corporation, have access to superior and cheaper technology. Being a Neutral isn't easy either. You are effectively stuck in the middle between the two warring factions, and there are many on both sides who won't hesitate to kill you when they can. There are only three factions since Jobe is not considered in this regard.

Clanners begin life in one of their major communities, either the clan capital of Tir or Athens, while Omni-Tek employees start their careers in either Omni-Entertainment or Omni-Trade, which are both located in Omni-1, the largest city on the planet. Neutrals start off either of two other settlements, Newland or Borealis, both situated between the clan and Omni territories.

Regardless of what mix of breed, gender, profession and faction you choose, it is very likely that you will be impressed by the sounds and environment of Anarchy Credits. It won't take you long to learn the ropes as you begin in a training environment with no real danger of losing experience gained until a few levels later. NPCs and signs in the area give you tips and hints on what you need to do, and the 'tip' menu, which you can disable if wish, automatically shows you various options like teaming with another player or how to attack a monster.
